A number of you were unable to accept your trophies for this season (or 2008)… as a result, we have still have them!

I have dropped them off with the ladies in the Administration building and they are available for pickup there.  Administration is the office building with the ramp leading up to it (above Snow Stars).

We are having our annual End of Year Awards Party on Saturday, March 27^th.

The morning will have a dual course set up on Wardance for fun racing and beginning at noon we will have a BBQ (weather permitting of course) at the Yurt/Gate Shack area.  At 1:00 the season long awards from each program will be handed out.

So come on by and have a great time with us!

GREAT day at Middlebury this past Sunday!  Awesome job by the kids and, wow, was the weather ever beautiful!

I will send a race re-cap later this week, as well as Pico Sunburst Open information.  On that topic – last chance for sending me entries for the Sunburst Open.  Also, if you have decided that your child can’t make it and you already told me to register them, please let me know so that I can pull them from the race.

Hello All,

Sorry to not have gotten back to you sooner, but I have been waiting on info pertaining to hill space. 

Here is the plan for tomorrow:

We will meet at 8:30 am at the top of the AB and we will ski a LONG morning session until about 12 pm.  Fingers crossed, we will  free ski for a while and then be training GS on Heaven’s Gate from about 10 til noon.  Therefore, please stuff a few granola bars in your kids pockets.  Your kids will be done around for the day.  This will give us the best skiing conditions (with the warm weather the snow has gotten very soft in the afternoon) and will allow those going to Middlebury in the morning a restful afternoon or the cahnce to get up there earlier if you are staying up there Saturday night.

Sunday:

Okemo 1: Plan for Middlebury still stands as is…

Okemo 2:  We will go with the 8:30-10 am; 11am-1/1:30pm schedule.  Meet at the AB at 8:30am.  Meet at the yurt at 11 am.

Ok so I had some time to sit down and put my literary skills to work and get you up to speed on race re-caps.  I am still awaiting info from Middlebury on this weekend’s race so the actual weekly update email will come once I have that….Reminder: Okemo 1 is going to Middlebury this Sunday.  Okemo 2 will train at home.

Hi All,

Just a quick note to let you know that tomorrow’s race at Quechee is definitely still on.

Quick change for Sunday – since I know the kids have been itching to ski in the woods all year and we FINALLY have snow, I am going to make Sunday a “twin tip/rock skis” day and we will do our normal time schedule: 8:30-10:30 am and 12-2 pm – meet at the top of the AB both am and pm.  (more…)

Dear OMARA communty:

In conjunction with our conferences scheduled for this Friday, OMS will be hosting an open house social for parents from 3:00-5:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to view the school, meet teachers and administrators, and find out how OMS might be a fantastic match for your child’s continued athletic and academic development.

Appetizers, beer and wine will be available.  As we travel into the final weeks of the season let’s gather together and toast our children and for what they have accomplished and you, their parents, for providing them with this opportunity.

A few things here, so please read completely and carefully!

Schedule Stuff:
Wednesday: Day off
Thursday:  Free-skiing on GS skis…same time schedule as the rest of this week 8:30-10:00 am/11-1ish.
Friday:  MEET AT THE YURT AT 10:30 am for a program wide dual GS. It will likely run until about 1 pm.
Saturday and Sunday:  Back to normal schedule of 8:30-10:30am/12-2 pm.  WE WILL BE TRAINING SLALOM both days.
