Hopefuls Program

The Hopeful Program is Okemo’s introductory race program for ages 7-12.  Many Hopefuls go on to other programs including Devo’s, Devo PG and Freestyle.  With an emphasis on skill development the Hopeful athletes enjoy a variety of drill work, lots of free skiing and some gate training.  Each child selects a team at the beginning of the season and will ski with that team every Saturday; each team has three coaches.  We have 5 races during the winter, all at Okemo, and team competition is fierce.  The Hopefuls meet in front of the Sugar House on Saturday’s from 9-11 and 12-2, beginning December 12th.
