Meet the Ross Series / Devo Coaches!

Mariel Meringolo has been coaching the Ross/DEVO group at Okemo Mountain since 2004 and has been heading up the group since 2007. Additionally, she serves as the Ross Series Chair in the Mid-Vermont Council. Mariel lives year-round in Ludlow and also teaches math at Okemo Mountain School. She looks forward to another fun and successful season with her athletes!

Alfred A. Gates is a 100 level USSA Coach and has been a DEVO coach for 3 years at OKEMO and was also a Race Crew Worker prior to that. Alfred is also an Engineering College professor at Central Connecticut State University.

J.D. Hoffmann is from Essex Junction, VT and is a former OMARA racer. He skied Division 1 for St. Michael’s College and has coached Devos for the past 5 seasons.

Lucas Ladden is entering his 6th season as a J4, J5, and J6 coach for the Development team. He is from Ludlow, VT and raced in the OMARA program growing up. He is a member of USSA and VARA.  Lucas currently works at BlumShapiro Consulting in West Hartford, CT.

Caroline Loy is currently living in Acton, Massachusetts. First year DEVO coach and have been skiing at Okemo for 8 years.

Donald Regan is from Oxford, Ct.  Experience includes Childrens ski school director and race development –12 Years, Mt Southington Ct. Childrens ski school directror — 14 years, Mohawk Mountain, Ct. Ski Wee clinician 3 years, Ski magazine, Race coach,hopeful trainer, Devo Coach Okemo Mountain. PSIA, VARA and USSA member.
